Need I say more? Beth and Brandon, we love you both dearly and feel so very blessed to have been invited to tell your story. It was an unforgettable wedding day and more importantly, the beginning of an undoubtedly epic adventure!

Laura and Travis traveled from Tuscan, AZ to get married in the vine covered hills of Napa. Their intimate destination wedding took place in front of a fireplace in a suite at the rustic/chic Hotel Yountville. Laura and Travis are go-getters, entrepreneurs, artist in their own right, and unabashed foodies. After heartfelt vows, explosive laughter and contagious tears, the merry band of nine shared an incredible candle lit meal where they swapped family stories. Despite their stylish taste, the presiding theme of the day was not in the DIY details or fancy florals, but rather one of family. These are the days that remind us why we do what we do, that inspire us to pick up the camera to tell the story of new beginnings – of adventures in living. We like weddings, but we love marriage.

We are back from a blogging hiatus and so very excited to bring you all that we have been up to over the next few days. We are filled with new stories to tell – of growing families, unexpected adventures, long anticipated dreams, and incredible blessings. We met Tommy and Anita over a Skype date and instantly fell for their warm glowing smiles and calming nature. It was so very clear that they were not only meant for one another, but that we were meant for them. They trusted us wholeheartedly with the biggest day of their lives, and as friends and family from all over the world gathered to celebrate their love we could help but feel like a part of the family. Here are a few favorites from their day.

I had such a great time hanging out in my old stomping grounds of Pasadena with these two. I was such a great reminder of what we can make together when our couples trust our vision and come ready to play. Thanks Monica and Howard for you trust and openness. -Micah

Here are a few from Jess and Levi’s big day at the Toscana Country Club in Indian Wells, CA to ring in the new year. Oh how we love our Palm Springs weddings! A huge thank you to the dynamic duo of Adam and Sarah Kealing over at InTandem for shooting along side me at this one.

Having only met Katerina and Onur one month before their wedding date, we had one month to get really excited for their big day. They were both so sweet and so excited to get married, a perfect combination for us to tell the story of their wedding day! Like so many of our couples they really wanted to do something non traditional for their wedding ceremony.  So, on a gorgeous California day we travelled up to the Montavlo Arts Center in Saratoga for their lunch wedding. The Montavlo Arts center’s grounds are a bit wild, with incredible statues and pillars, reminding us of romantic gardens somewhere in Europe. It was the perfect setting for Katerina and Orur’s intimate wedding.

You may remember Amanda and John’s incredible engagement shoot at their home in Costa Mesa a number of months back. We loved the opportunity to tell their story in the intimacy of their own home, and now we are so excited to continue their story on their wedding day! On an absolutely stunning day at the Capri Laguna in Laguna Beach, these two said yes to sharing the rest of their lives together while over looking the crystal clear Pacific Ocean. The day could not have been more perfect and these two could not be more perfect together. I have actually known Amanda for a while now, and it makes my heart so full to see how John’s personality complements hers. They both love the excitement of travel and adventure, willing to forget about unimportant things in life in order to experience the world.

Amanda and John, you are incredible and your relationship is an inspiration to us! Thank you for sharing your hearts with us! We cannot wait to hear about your next life adventures together!

Stories move us. They inspire us to get up in the morning, excite us to create new things every day and set off on new adventures. When Mari and Andrew invited us into their adventure from across the country, we found that though we lived thousands of miles apart, we were already close. Mari and Andrew’s story began in a small college town with a west coast soul and an artist’s spirit almost literally in our own backyard. Though we call Claremont California home, we had no idea that Mari and Andrew’s courtship began right down the street in the prestigeous Claremont Colleges. Many years and many cross country miles later we all found ourselves in an open field in upstate New York surrounded by friends, family and barnyard animals. It was there that Mari and Andrew would pledge their lives to one another and where we would yet again discover that there is no greater story than that of marriage. Mari and Andrew, thank you for your hearts and for allowing us to step into such an intimate and powerful part of your story.
